Apply Now for the 2023-2024 School Year!

As our current students find their stride in the 2022-2023 school year, we are also getting excited about the prospective students we will meet through this year’s admissions process. I am thrilled to share that our application for the 2023-2024 school year launched on September 1, and we will soon be welcoming prospective students and families to campus for a variety of events. Our admissions team can’t wait to get to know this admissions season’s prospective families!
Full details about all of the required application components and our event offerings can be found through Ravenna (our online application platform), but I wanted to highlight a couple of important and exciting changes for the upcoming admissions season:
Prospective students will now have an option to choose between an in-person and a virtual interview. We will hold our in-person interviews in the KEXP Gathering Space. Prospective students and families who choose an in-person interview will get a taste of how our campus extends beyond our building and into the city. We are excited to connect with prospective students in person, but we understand that virtual interviews may be preferred for some students and families. We will continue to offer a number of virtual interview times each week. Interviews fill up quickly; we encourage prospective students to sign up for an interview as soon as possible to ensure their preferred format (in-person or virtual) is available.
We will be returning to our pre-pandemic requirement that all prospective students submit standardized admissions test scores (SSAT preferred). Prospective students should make sure to register for their standardized admissions test soon to avoid full test dates, etc. We will accept the ISEE as an alternative for applicants to 9th grade, and the PSAT, SAT, or ACT as an alternative for applicants to 10th-12th grades.
Prospective families will have the opportunity to register for an in-person or virtual Open House. After two years of fully virtual open houses, we are looking forward to hosting an in-person option for families!
In-person Student Visit Days are back! Applicants will be able to register to attend a full day of in-person school at The Downtown School. We are excited to be hosting four in-person Student Visit Days this year to share our classes and community with prospective students.
Completed applications are due on January 12, 2023, but we encourage prospective students to start their application today.
